WHY THIS PROGRAM EXISTS

Many girls begin to disengage from sport, physical activity, and leadership opportunities during adolescence. Confidence, social pressure, and shifting expectations can lead individuals to question their abilities or withdraw from environments where they once felt capable.

These patterns often continue into adulthood, where many women report hesitating to pursue challenges, leadership roles, or new opportunities because they doubt their capabilities or feel they do not belong in those spaces.

Strong. Capable. Confident. was created to help girls and women develop the confidence, capability, and mindset skills needed to navigate challenges, pursue growth, and show up fully in the environments that matter most to them.

HOW DEVELOPMENT HAPPENS IN THIS PROGRAM

Strong. Capable. Confident. integrates multiple development tools to help participants build confidence and capability over time. The program combines physical training, mindset skill development, reflection, and supportive community to reinforce learning in practical ways.

Key components of the program include:

Strength training provides a powerful experiential learning tool. As participants learn new movements and progressively challenge themselves, they begin to see what they are capable of accomplishing through effort and persistence.

Together, these elements create a learning environment where participants develop both the skills and the confidence needed to pursue growth in multiple areas of life.

WHAT YOU'LL DEVELOP

The program introduces practical skills that support both personal development and performance across different environments.

These skills are developed through both discussion and experience, allowing for real-time application.

• understanding effort, progress, and growth
• developing a healthy relationship with training and performance

PROGRAM FORMAT

Strong. Capable. Confident. is delivered through structured sessions that combine physical training, mindset skill development, reflection, and discussion.

While the core focus of the program remains consistent, the format may vary based on the group, setting, and goals.

Programs may be delivered in a variety of ways, including:
 

• youth development programs
• women’s lift groups and workshops
• school or team-based programming
• organizational partnerships

Session structure, frequency, and duration are designed to align with the needs of the group while maintaining a consistent focus on skill development and application. The goal is to create an experience that supports meaningful development while fitting the context in which it is delivered.

No prior experience with strength training or mindset work is required.

PROGRAM LEADERSHIP

Strong. Capable. Confident. is led by Dr. Brittany Herrick, a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with experience as a professional athlete, strength and conditioning coach, and educator.

The program is grounded in evidence-based mindset and performance principles and designed to support the holistic development of each individual through practical, real-world application.
